Huron County Provincial Police (OPP) filed multiple criminal driving charges against a resident of Bluewater on September 2nd, in the Municipality of Bluewater, just before 5pm.
Huron County OPP officers were on patrol in Zurich when they encountered a motor vehicle that had failed to stop for police.
Shortly after, they located the suspect’s vehicle parked at a business parking lot.
Law enforcement officers approached the driver and placed them under arrest.
During the investigation, it was determined that the driver had consumed alcohol before getting behind the wheel, resulting in their arrest for Impaired Operation.
As a result, a 48 years old resident of Bluewater, is facing charges including: Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs, Operation while Impaired – Over 80, Flight from Police, Driving while Prohibited (two counts) and Failing to Comply with a Probation Order.
