Week number four of the school year is well underway, and there are already some sick kids who caught a bug from a classmate.
Registered Nutritionist Lianne Phillipson tells myFM in the Moring, a big part of that has to do with being with other kids, and seasons changing.
Phillipson says the number one thing to do from a nutrition point of view, is to avoid sugar which kills the immune system for hours after being consumed.
She says that means cut down or eliminate the number of sweet treats you send in the lunch bags.
