Denver Boertien, Recreation Coordinator for the Municipality of Bluewater says there is already a wide variety of programs at the arena but the recent addition of Pickleball is getting great response from the community.

For those who don’t know what Pickleball is, Boertien explains that it is a low impact sport that is really fun once you learn how it is played.
Pickleball is a very common sport that most people don’t know about. Boertien says the sport originated in the states 30 years ago.
Because Pickleball is such a low impact sport, Boertien says it is perfect for all ages.
During the upcoming colder months, it is so important to stay health and exercise, and playing Pickleball is just one easy way to do that.
Boertien hopes that those coming to play Pickleball can learn something new and make some new friends.
