Councillor Marc Denomme’s resignation from his position on South Huron Council representing Ward 2 on September 18th has left a vacant seat.
At council’s meeting yesterday evening, Clerk Alex Wolfe presented two options for the council’s consideration. The first option was to fill the vacant seat through a by-election, while the second option was to appoint a new councillor following a call for nominees.
Ultimately, Councillor Neeb motioned to move forward with option 2, the appointment by calling for nominees.
In the end, the South Huron Council opted to proceed with the appointment by calling for nominees. They aim to initiate the process promptly to meet the November 17th deadline.
