On Monday evening, South Huron Council discussed a delegation from the County that presented to them regarding homelessness in the area on October 2nd.
Councilor Oke requested more information from staff as a result of the presentation.
He emphasized the importance of recent county housing projects, some of which include potential for second and third units on properties.
In addition to housing issues, the discussion also touched on homelessness and services in South Huron. Councilor Neeb stressed the importance of the Southern Huron Connection Centre.
CAO Msuya-Collison reminded council about upcoming public consultation which will shed light on the public’s feelings about housing in South Huron.
Members of the public are welcome to attend both events and provide insights and feedback to staff and council.
