A 22-year-old entrepreneur named Sara Noguira has learned the value of following her passion through entrepreneurship.
Raised in Exeter since the age of five, when considering her future career Sara’s thoughts often turned to fields often deemed more “successful.”
A gap year two years ago helped her discover her true calling—art. Inspired by this newfound passion, she transitioned from kinesiology to marketing, seeking a more creative and broad avenue for her talents.
Under the banner of “Happy UR Here,” Sara launched her own art business through Huron County Economic Developments Summer Company Program. She specializes in acrylic and watercolor paintings on canvas, original prints, and a variety of imaginative stickers.
Reflecting on her journey, Sara says that she learned a lot this summer – but that the biggest was to be confident in her creation despite people’s opinions.
She also says that networking has opened doors for exciting collaborations, such as designing stickers for other companies. Lastly, taking a leap of faith was the ultimate catalyst for her success.
Looking ahead, Sara aims to keep her business thriving year-round. While attending school, she plans to continue designing and posting, expanding her portfolio. Come summer, she’ll collaborate with local businesses, envisioning projects like stickers, wall art, and murals.
Sara Noguira’s story is a testament to the power of following your passion, embracing change, and building a foundation for success one creative step at a time – opening doors for young people in our community to be creative, innovative, and successful.
