Prepare for a bone chilling twist in the weather forecast. Environment Canada is predicting the potential for snow in the area on Halloween night, along with spooky late-night temperatures of -4.
The warm autumn days we’ve been enjoying are about to give way to a deep freeze. The nighttime lows for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday are expected to plummet to -3°C, -4°C, and -2°C, respectively. Subzero temperatures in late October are a rare sight in our local area. If you have any tender plants left outside, this will likely be their last week.
As for the snow, Environment Canada is giving us a 30% chance of flurries on Tuesday night, a rare occurrence for this time of year. It could pose quite a challenge for our little trick-or-treaters and the parents who accompany them.
Halloween with snowflakes and record-breaking cold temperatures? It’s safe to say this will be one spooky night.
