As of Monday, all Ontario residents aged six months and older will have access to both free flu shots and updated COVID-19 vaccines.
Health Minister Sylvia Jones emphasized the importance of staying up to date with vaccinations to ensure a safe and healthy winter season, which typically sees a surge in respiratory illnesses.
The vaccination campaign aims to make the process as convenient as possible for residents. Free flu shots and COVID-19 vaccines can be obtained at participating pharmacies, through primary care providers, and local public health units.
The province recommends that residents receive both the flu shot and the updated COVID-19 vaccine simultaneously – it is safe to receive both vaccines in one go, making it a more efficient and convenient option for those looking to protect themselves against a range of respiratory illnesses.
