Community spirit was on the agenda at the ribbon-cutting ceremony of Hensall’s brand-new accessible play structure yesterday morning.
Members of the Bluewater Council, joined by MPP Lisa Thompson, celebrated the milestone.
The state-of-the-art play structure received a remarkable $100,000 Trillium grant, a true testament to the commitment of investing in the community’s well-being.
Emma Bartz, a Grant Review Team Member for the Trillium Foundation, shared that the grant application stood out because she knows firsthand that these new facilities will be embraced and enjoyed by the local residents.

MPP Lisa Thompson said that making Hensall a good place for young families was absolutely vital to the continued success of the community.
She also said that she looks forward to continued investments in the facilities in the years to come.

To add a touch of joy to the occasion, a group of children from Bluewater Coast Public School and the local EarlyON program were present, eagerly exploring the new play structure and participating in the ribbon-cutting ceremony. This new addition promises to be a hub of activity, fun, and community bonding for years to come.
