In the spirit of the upcoming holiday season, Lambton County Library is fostering the timeless tradition of writing letters to Santa Claus.
Until December 1, children of all ages are warmly invited to any Lambton County Library location to send heartfelt messages to the jolly old man in red.
According to Vanitia Campbell, Public Services Coordinator for Youth Programs and Outreach, “Letter writing is an essential skill that can improve communication, social skills, and handwriting. Writing a letter to Santa teaches children how to structure their writing in a meaningful way.”
The library is ensuring that each letter reaches its magical destination by utilizing Canada Post’s Letters to Santa service. This guarantees that the letters find their way to the North Pole before the much-anticipated Christmas day.
Parents and guardians, take note: all letters submitted to the library by December 1, 2023, will receive a personalized response from Santa Claus himself. Santa’s replies transcend language barriers, as he responds in more than 35 languages, including Braille.
For those eager to participate, visit lclibrary.ca for full details on locations and hours of operation. Let the holiday season be marked not just by festivities but by the joy of handwritten letters and the anticipation of a reply from the one and only Santa Claus.
