Grand Bend is getting ready to usher in the holiday season with a Santa Claus parade.
myFM had the privilege to sit down with Susana Almeida, Secretary of Jingle Bells Grand Bend, she says that last year marked the very first Santa Claus parade in Grand Bend, and it was an instant hit.
This year’s event is organized by the Lions Club, and the Jingle Bells committee.
The Santa Claus parade is scheduled for November 25th at 6:30 PM. The parade will kick off from the parking lot behind the Rotary Beach Stage and travel up Main Street, dispersing at Highway 21. Everyone is welcome to participate, and Susana encouraged those interested in submitting floats to reach out to the organizers.
Susana says that bringing a Santa Claus parade to Grand Bend has ignited holiday cheer.
Reflecting on last year’s highlights, Susana mentioned a unique and memorable float that awed spectators.
This year, Susana says that Santa will undoubtedly be the star of the show, arriving on one of Southwest Marine’s boats on a float.
As the excitement builds for Grand Bend’s second Santa Claus parade, there’s no doubt that this festive event will be a highlight for the community. So mark your calendars for November 25th and join in the holiday spirit.
