A Goderich resident is facing charges after a witnesses reported them for driving under the influence in early November.
In the early hours of November 4th, witnesses reported an individual seemingly under the influence in the driver’s seat of a vehicle on Gibbons Street in Goderich.
Officers identified the driver who displayed signs of impairment – however, the subsequent arrest revealed more alarming details as a prohibited weapon and controlled substances were discovered in the possession of the accused.
A 47-year-old from Goderich, now faces multiple charges, including impaired operation, possession of Cocaine and Methamphetamine, and weapons possession.
The accused has been released from custody, with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich on December 11th.
