Local history enthusiasts have a unique chance to contribute to the preservation and presentation of local history.
The Huron County Museum & Historic Gaol is inviting residents to join its Collections Committee as volunteers.
This committee helps direct the future of the museum’s collection – meeting only 4 times a year, with a tenure of 2 years.
Senior Curator Elizabeth French-Gibson expressed the significance of this opportunity, stating, “This is a great opportunity for those who are passionate about Huron County’s on-going history and heritage.”
If you have a love for material culture and a desire to engage others with the powerful stories and memories evoked by objects from the past, seize this opportunity.
Submit your written application for the volunteer position of Huron County Museum Collections Committee Member by Monday, Dec. 18 – more information is available here.
