Huron Hospice has received full accreditation from Hospice Palliative Care Ontario for its In-Home Hospice Program, now in its 30th year.
The program pairs trained volunteers with individuals facing life-limiting illness or grieving.
Over 100 matches are made annually, offering companionship and support, allowing caregivers to take breaks.
To earn accreditation, Huron Hospice met 221 service standards, covering areas like governance, training, and client feedback.
This news coincides with the expansion of services at Huron Hospice Bender House, expected to be completed by July, benefiting around 100 individuals and families annually.
