In response to health human resource shortages, the St. Marys Memorial Hospital will be undergoing a temporary reduction in emergency services throughout the long weekend.
- Sunday, December 24, 2023: The Emergency Department will close at 5 p.m.
- Monday, December 25, 2023: The Emergency Department will be closed.
- Tuesday, December 26, 2023: The Emergency Department will resume operations at 7 a.m., returning to regular 24-hour daily service.
During this temporary reduction, individuals requiring immediate medical attention are urged to call 9-1-1. Paramedics will remain available.
Residents are advised that alternative 24-hour Emergency Departments in proximity to St. Marys Memorial Hospital include:
- Stratford: HPHA – Stratford General Hospital
- Exeter: South Huron Hospital
- Ingersoll: Alexandra Hospital
- London: LHSC – University Hospital or Victoria Hospital
It is recommended to verify the operating hours of these Emergency Departments before visiting.
