The County of Huron, alongside the Municipality of Bluewater and Municipality of South Huron, is looking for resident feedback on an infrastructure project in Dashwood.
The reconstruction of County Road 83, commonly known as Dashwood Road looks to break ground this coming Spring, with projected completion by 2025. The project includes the replacement of the Dashwood-Hay Municipal drain, the watermain, and the water services within the County Road corridor.
Given that County Road 83 serves as a vital artery to Grand Bend, officials are working diligently to minimize disruptions. While occasional short redirections might occur, the intention is to maintain traffic flow throughout the project’s staged construction.
A previous public meeting in late October facilitated valuable discussions, and authorities are keen to incorporate further resident feedback as the initiative progresses.
To engage with the community, a Public Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, January 18, 2024, at the Dashwood Community Centre at 6:00 PM.
Representatives from the County, the Municipality of Bluewater, the Municipality of South Huron, and the project engineering team (BMROSS) will be present to provide final drawings and additional details about the construction phases.
Residents and interested parties are encouraged to submit comments and questions in advance or during the meeting.
For inquiries, individuals can contact Imran Khalid, Director of Public Works for Huron County, at ikhalid@huroncounty.ca or 519-524-8394 x 3504
