As the festive season winds down, South Huron, Bluewater, and Lambton Shores are extending an eco-friendly invitation to their residents: participate in the annual Tree Drop-Off Program.
This initiative allows locals to bid farewell to their Christmas trees in an environmentally conscious way.
In Lambton Shores, you can drop your tree off at one of two designated drop off locations:
1. 9575 Port Franks Road, Thedford
2. 7849 Rawlings Road, Forest
The program runs until Saturday, January 6.
In Bluewater, they have three designated locations:
1. Hensall: Green waste depot (west limit of Richmond St. South)
2. Zurich: Behind the Community Centre (15 East St.), trailer at rear of Community Centre
3. Bayfield: Howard St. East in front of Public Works yard fence.
It’s important to note that only real trees are accepted in this program, please remove all decorations before dropping off your tree – and don’t leave them at your curb, they won’t be collected.
