Warden McNeil highlighted the pivotal role of a progressive county council, which has fervently addressed pressing needs throughout the year.
Notable housing projects include the completion of the Bennett Street triplexes and the upcoming Sanders Street development, with plans for a 40-unit build on Gibbons Street in Goderich.
Warden McNeil said that this collaboration is vital to their success, with the Town of Goderich for example, selling the land for the Gibbons Street project for $1 to the County of Huron.
Infrastructure projects, including stop lights at the intersection of County Road 25 and Highway 4 and a development in our own backyard, at the intersection of Highway 83, and Airport Line.
With much of the preliminary work on the roundabout completed, Warden McNeil hopes to have that project well underway in 2024.
Looking ahead, Warden McNeil expressed excitement about the impending completion of the Sanders Street development and the commencement of the Gibbons Street project.
