Residents in Southwestern Ontario now have an additional travel option to London and beyond due to limited rail and airport choices. Officials mentioned a roughly 70-minute trip, costing around $25 for a one-way ticket with a stop in Strathroy. Plans are underway to establish more routes to London from areas like St. Thomas and Chatham-Kent, intending to transform London into a hub connecting smaller Southwestern Ontario communities to Toronto and points in between.
Huron Shores Area Transit, along with a provincially funded Voyago route from Grand Bend to London, will introduce a flex stop in London, linking passengers to Megabus intercity services. Although Greyhound previously serviced Sarnia to London via Strathroy until 2003, their services ceased permanently in 2021. For more information, visit huronshoresareatransit.ca and intercitybus.ca.
