Environment and Climate Change Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement about an approaching winter storm.
The storm, associated with a low-pressure system, is predicted to bring snowfall to the region starting Tuesday morning. Initially, snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm are anticipated, posing potential hazards for travel. As the day progresses, there is a forecasted transition from snow to rain, particularly in areas closer to Lake Huron.
The weather event is expected to persist throughout the day, affecting both the morning and afternoon commutes. Residents are advised to exercise caution and prepare for challenging travel conditions.
Given the varying precipitation types and potential for heavy snowfall, travel advisories may be issued closer to the event
