The St. Marys Memorial Hospital Emergency Department, will be closing temporarily at 5 p.m. today (Thursday, January 11) due to health human resource shortages.
The closure will last until 7 a.m. tomorrow (Friday, January 12), when regular 24-hour operations are set to resume.
During this period, individuals in need of immediate medical attention are advised to dial 9-1-1. Paramedics will be available to the community, rerouting to the nearest accessible Emergency Department to ensure locals continue to have access to crucial emergency services.
For non-urgent health concerns, residents are encouraged to contact Health Connect Ontario at 811, a service available 24/7 for non-emergency health-related questions.
The closest 24-hour Emergency Departments during the temporary closure include Stratford General Hospital, South Huron Hospital in Exeter, Alexandra Hospital in Ingersoll, and London Health Sciences Centre.
