Middlesex-London Health Unit (MLHU) took to X on Monday afternoon (January 29) to alert the public about the rising cases of chickenpox in the community.
The MLHU strongly recommends that individuals who have not received the chickenpox vaccine or have not had chickenpox in the past should consult with their healthcare providers about vaccination.
The unit emphasizes that individuals can only contract chickenpox once unless they are immunocompromised. You can check your vaccine records to see if you’re protected on ICON – their online portal – for health information.
