As the winter chill slowly fades away, communities are gearing up for the vibrant spirit of summer sports, and Zurich is no exception.
Zurich Minor Athletic Executive member Chrissy MacDougald says that they’re reintroducing of hardball after the successful run of two rookie ball teams with pitching machines in 2023 – alongside regular offerings like t-ball for the kids, softball, and more.
But beyond the thrill of competition, playing local ball provides children an opportunity to be active, socialize, and make new friends.
Accessibility is a key focus for Zurich Minor Athletics, with registration fees kept as low as possible through a variety of fundraisers.
Looking ahead, the goal is simple yet profound: to ensure that every child who steps onto the field has a memorable and enjoyable season.
As the registration night approaches on February 26th at the Zurich Arena lobby, families are encouraged to come prepared with filled-out forms and registration fees. Additionally, volunteers are always welcome, whether it’s for coaching, executive roles, or helping out during events like Beanfest – which is a major source of funding for local athletics.
