Every day, Ontarians rely on the dedication and bravery of their local police to ensure the safety and security of their families and communities.
To honor their exceptional service, the Police Association of Ontario (PAO) is taking nominations for their annual Police Services Hero of the Year Awards program.
With five distinct award categories, including the “On-Duty Difference Maker” for both uniformed officers and civilian police service employees, “The Extra Mile Award” recognizing extraordinary acts of kindness or bravery off-duty, and the “Community Role Model” award highlighting those who make notable contributions outside of their professional duties, the program aims to showcase the diverse ways in which police personnel positively impact their communities.
Nominations for the 2024 Police Services Hero of the Year Awards are open until March 18 – members of the public can submit their nomination at PoliceHero.ca, via email to info@policehero.ca
Winners will be announced at the PAO’s Annual General Meeting in May 2024, where these exemplary individuals will be celebrated for their selfless service and unwavering commitment to the well-being of the public.
