Huron OPP announced the reopening of Bluewater Highway just after 5 pm today, following a nearly daylong closure prompted by a collision. The accident, which occurred at the intersection of Bluewater Highway and Sararas Road, resulted in the closure of Highway 21 between Dashwood Road and Zurich-Hensall Road earlier in the day – with significant detours taking motorists all the way to Goshen Line to get around the collision.
The incident, a two-vehicle collision involving a semi-truck and minivan, tragically claimed the life of a 58-year-old driver from Bluewater. As investigations unfolded, authorities deemed it necessary to keep the road closed into the afternoon.
