Huron OPP, with help from various police units and forensic teams, along with the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario and Centre of Forensic Science, have laid charges following an investigation into an opioid overdose death in Central Huron.
On March 27th, the Huron OPP Crime Unit, with guidance from the Criminal Investigation Branch, laid charges against a person related to the death of a 19-year-old male in Central Huron on September 13th, 2023.
The victim died from an opioid overdose.
A 23 year old from Kitchener, is facing charges including manslaughter and trafficking and possession of controlled substances.
He is currently in custody and is set to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich at a later date.
