In the late hours of Saturday (May 11), emergency responders rushed to the scene of a residential structure fire in Blyth.
Emergency services arriving on scene at approximately 11:43 pm. The blaze erupted in a residence on Dinsley Street, which fortunately was unoccupied at the time of the incident.
Upon arrival, emergency crews diligently worked to contain the fire and ensure the safety of nearby residents. To facilitate their operations, Dinsley Street was promptly closed off to traffic between Coombs Street and Morris Street.
After several hours of efforts, authorities deemed it safe to reopen the road. Dinsley Street resumed normal traffic flow just after 7 am the following morning.
The investigation into the cause of the fire remains ongoing.
