The Huron Clean Water Project is accepting applications from local residents, landowners, and community groups to support water quality projects.
They have $500,000 available for projects like erosion control, clean water diversion, wellhead protection, wetland restoration, and more.
Successful applicants can receive up to 50% of the project costs, and funding can be combined with other provincial, federal, and local programs.
Since 2005, nearly 4,000 projects have been completed, including decommissioning liquid manure storages and wells, upgrading wells, and tree planting.
There’s no deadline to apply, but funding is limited, so interested parties should visit the Huron Clean Water webpage or contact the local conservation authority.
