A big change is coming to PART of River Road in Grand Bend later this month.
It will be converted to a one-way street between Ontario (Highway 21) and Alberta Streets, as of June 26th….but will remain a two-way street west of Alberta Street.
To complete the necessary road work and sign installations, there will be a full road closure along that stretch from 8am til 4pm ON Wednesday, June 26th. (27th is the rain date)
The change is being made for a couple of reasons including to stop people from making dangerous and illegal left-hand turns off River road onto Ontario Street.
It will also allow more space for pedestrian infrastructure during future reconstruction projects.
