A coordinated effort by multiple law enforcement units led to the arrest of two people in relation to a drug trafficking investigation on Thursday (June 13).
Search warrants executed at residences on Trafalgar St. in Mitchell, and Ainley St. in Brussels, resulted in seizures of purple and yellow fentanyl, methamphetamine, psilocybin, Canadian currency, and various drug trafficking paraphernalia.
Additionally, a Suzuki motorcycle, suspected to be stolen, was recovered.
The total estimated street value of the drugs is approximately $25,000, with the seized property valued at $3700, and currency totaling just over $1600.
A 42-year-old and 50-year-old, both from Huron East, face several charges including possession of Methamphetamine and Fentanyl, as well as the destruction of a VIN number.
Both suspects remain in custody pending a bail hearing.
