A 23-year-old is facing a long list of charges after having a fast and furious moment in Grand Bend this past weekend.
On Saturday, (June 15), just after 9:00 p.m., a Lambton OPP officer attempted to stop a vehicle on Main Street, Grand Bend for a Highway Traffic Act violation – however, the vehicle fled the scene.
The same vehicle was reported involved in a collision at Greenway Road and Lakeshore Road shortly afterward and once again, failed to remain at the scene.
Approximately two hours later, the vehicle was spotted by an Essex OPP patrol on Highway 401, traveling at an estimated speed exceeding 200 km/h.
The following day, the driver turned himself in to Lambton OPP. The 23-year-old of Windsor faces multiple charges, including stunt driving, failure to remain at the scene, flight from police and dangerous operation.
