A planned diversion of traffic will see no passing through Exeter via Highway 4 tomorrow.
The road is currently under major construction, with sewer work, and other underlying infrastructure requiring the complete replacement of the surface, and while the intent of municipal workers and construction workers has been to maintain traffic flow as much as possible on the busy roadway (which sees in excess of 10,000 vehicles daily), a full day shutdown is coming up.
From the Ausable River to Highway 83, all traffic will be diverted on June 20th (with a rain date of June 24th) for 24 hours, beginning at 6:00am.
Businesses and emergency services have been advised of the closure.
