A flood outlook has been issued by the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority as heavy precipitation is expected through Thursday.
While major flooding is not anticipated with the forecasted rainfall, it could extend beyond the traditional low-lying undeveloped flood-plain areas.
Forecasts of 50-60 mm of rain are possible, with the potential for localized amounts of 100mm.
Residents are reminded to use caution around creeks and rivers, and to keep children and pets away from all waterways.
The flood outlook will remain in effect until 9 a.m. Monday, July 15th as the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority continues to monitor watershed conditions.
