A traffic stop in the Municipality of West Perth has resulted in impaired driving charges for a 49-year-old Lucan man.
Just after midnight on July 6th, a member of Perth County OPP conducted a traffic stop on Wellington Street in Mitchell, where the driver was displaying obvious signs of impairment.
He was taken into custody and a Drug Recognition Evaluation was completed.
As a result, the Lucan resident has been charged with Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs.
The man was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court in August to answer to the charge.
