Early in the morning on July 10, 2024, just after 1:00 a.m., a Perth County OPP officer stopped a vehicle on Quebec Street in Mitchell. The vehicle had been reported stolen in the Waterloo Region. The driver was arrested, and a search of the vehicle revealed weapons.
A 32 year old from Wallaceburg, has been charged with:
Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
Failure to comply with a release order
Possession of an identity document
Fraudulent concealment
Altering/destroying/removing a vehicle identification number
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
