Over 460 cyclists will unite to support those living with multiple sclerosis (MS) at the MS Canada’s MS Bike – Grand Bend to London event this weekend. The two-day biking challenge aims to raise funds for MS research and support services. This event is one of 12 MS Bike events held across Canada this summer, with a fundraising goal of $885,000. So far, over $362,000 has been raised.

MS Bike – Grand Bend to London is the second-largest event of its kind in Canada. Cyclists will tackle either a 151 km or 176 km route, enjoying a variety of activities along the way. On Day 1, riders will celebrate their achievements at Western University with live music, games, food, and drinks at the Rider Village and Beer Gardens. The evening will feature a special ceremony where Barry Travnicek will be honored for raising $1 million for MS Bike.
Day 2 will conclude with a BBQ and team photos at the ride’s finish line in Grand Bend, marking a celebratory end to the event.
The ride begins and ends at Grand Bend Motorplex, with funds raised going towards MS Canada’s peer support groups, the MS Knowledge Network, and crucial research into MS treatments and causes.
Travnicek says there is a reason this event has gone on for so long.
