The Lambton County OPP is working to keep highways safe. From July 7th to 14th, they ran ‘Operation Safe Driver’ to improve road safety and reduce collisions.
The campaign targeted commercial and passenger vehicles, promoting safe driving and compliance with laws. They focused on speed limits, avoiding distractions, and checking documentation and vehicle maintenance.
The OPP laid 17 commercial vehicle charges and 198 traffic-related charges. They remind commercial drivers to complete pre-trip inspections, have proper documentation, and maintain their vehicles regularly.
