The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is reminding drivers to watch out for emergency vehicles and tow trucks on the roadside. Drivers should slow down and move over a lane when it is safe. This is not just the law but also important to give police and emergency workers the space they need to work safely and help people in need.
During the Civic Day long weekend, the OPP will watch closely to make sure drivers follow this rule. They will also look for drivers who are aggressive, not paying attention, impaired, or not wearing seat belts. These behaviors are the main causes of road deaths every year.
