Dairy Queen Miracle Treat Day is today and local ambassador, six-year-old Brinley dropped in to myFM along with her mom, Kaylee. As a baby, she was diagnosed with an inherited nerve defect affecting motor and sensory nerves. The bubbly youngster had a message for our listeners.
The youngster has faced numerous hospital visits and she brought along her bravery beads, and Kaylee explains the significance.
Kayla Kreutzberg with Children’s Health Foundation explains what Brinley will be up to today.
This will be the 34th annual year where participating Dairy Queen Restaurants will be donating 100% of the proceeds from Blizzard sales on the day to their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.
The local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital is the Children’s Hospital at London’s Health Sciences Centre.
