The Bayfield Agricultural Society will host its 168th fair from August 16th to 18th. The fair will feature entertainment, competitions, and demonstrations as usual. Food will be available for sale and in competitions throughout the weekend. There will be family-friendly events for all ages, including a fireworks display, parade, music, animal shows, and various other activities.
Director of the Board for the Bayfield Agricultural Society, Cate Thompson says there will be lots to see and do at the fair this year.
This is the fair’s 168th edition and Thompson says it is a very exciting time.
Thompson told myFM there is a reason the event has gone on for so long.
New fencing along Victoria Street and John Avenue has been completed in the past two years, with the final stretch being replaced east of the baseball field. This will help keep animals on the fairgrounds and off the streets if they get loose.
