The Sunset Community Foundation is now accepting applications for its annual Greater Grand Bend Community Fund Granting Program. This program supports projects and activities that benefit residents in the Greater Grand Bend Area.
Charitable organizations in rural areas often face challenges such as limited resources, fewer donors, and less access to technology. Despite these issues, they provide crucial services to their communities. The Sunset Community Foundation aims to help these organizations by offering Community Funds to support their important projects.
The Greater Grand Bend Advisory Committee will review all applications in mid-October, and organizations will be notified by early November. Applicants are encouraged to contact the Executive Director for guidance on their submissions.
The Grand Bend Community Foundation was created in 2001 with $1.5 million from the sale of Grand Bend’s Public Utilities Commission. It has since grown to an endowment of over $3.2 million, which includes several funds such as the M.J. Muma Endowment Fund and the Krech Family Fund.
Applications can be submitted online until midnight on September 30th.
