Huron County OPP has charged a London resident with impaired driving after a traffic stop early on Saturday, August 3rd.
Huron County OPP officers saw a vehicle driving south on Grand Bend Line in South Huron and the officer noticed that the driver flashed the high beams several times at the approaching police car. The police then stopped the vehicle on Grand Bend Line.
When police spoke to the driver, they determined that the driver had been drinking alcohol before driving. The police asked the driver to give a breath sample, which resulted in a failure. The driver was arrested for impaired driving and taken into custody. The driver was then taken to the Lambton OPP detachment in Grand Bend for further breath tests, which showed readings over the legal limit.
The vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days, and the driver’s license was suspended for 90 days.
