- Blyth Festival Theatre: Onion Skins & Peach Fuzz: The Farmerettes @ 10:30 am – 1:00 pm. Inspired by the book by Bonnie Sitter & Shirleyan English, Onion Skins and Peach Fuzz: Memories of the Ontario Farmerettes; this nostalgic play dramatizes the incredible stories of Canada’s Farmerettes; young women all over the country who left the big cities to work as farm labourers on Canadian farms as part of the war effort during WW2. Many of these young women learned a lot more than how to dig potatoes, pull carrots, and muck a stall; they learned essential truths about who they were, who they wanted to be, and what true and lasting friendships looked like. A play about coming of age as young women in a time of change.

- Virtual Reality Free Play – Goderich @ 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm. Discover the Huron County Library’s exciting new Virtual Reality headset by booking a session at the Goderich Branch today! Participants can dive into the action with games like Beat Saber, explore the globe through immersive travel experiences, enjoy a relaxing round of mini golf, meditate in serene virtual environments, and so much more! - Jokes and Quotes for the Fiftieth with Ted Johns @ 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm. Prolific Festival Playwright, Ted Johns, (The School Show, He Won’t Come in From the Barn, Garrison’s Garage ) is giving a special presentation for the 50th anniversary. Part history, part hilarity, Ted will be sharing his memories along with excerpts of his forthcoming memoir, detailing the early days of the Blyth Festival. From his earliest work as part of the original touring company of The Farm Show, through to the Festival’s founding, and its fledgling first seasons, Johns’ Jokes and Quotes for the 50th , captures the wit and wisdom of the iconic local writer.

Book a 30-minute session to receive one-on-one help with library e-resources, your device, and/or your email account. Lessons are limited to the technical knowledge of library staff.
