September brings back familiar routines for many people, and it also marks the start of United Way Perth-Huron’s (UWPH) yearly fundraising campaign. This year, they are kicking off their campaign in Huron East with a concert by the local band Jellybean Blue at Seaforth First Presbyterian Church, on Sunday, September 22nd at 7 p.m.
The event is free, with an option to make a donation, and will include speeches from local leaders, the announcement of UWPH’s fundraising goal for 2024/25, and information about the new Seaforth Nourish Equal Access Market.
The Seaforth Nourish Access Market aims to reduce the impact of poverty by offering fresh, local vegetables, fruits, and meats at wholesale prices to people facing food insecurity. Shoppers can buy as much or as little as they need, in a welcoming and respectful environment.
