The Huron Historic Gaol in Goderich is offering a rare and thrilling chance to explore its dark past during its Ghost Tours, held every Friday night from October 4 to November 1. The Gaol will host two guided tours each evening at 6:45 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
Curator of Engagement and Dialogue at the Huron County Museum and historic Gaol, Sinead Cox says the tours are always very popular.
These tours dive deep into over 180 years of history, focusing on the eerie stories of prisoners and staff who lived and died within the walls. Visitors will hear true tales of local crimes, tragic deaths, and even reported ghost sightings.
Tickets for the Ghost Tours cost $11 + HST, with discounted rates of $7 + HST for students and museum members. Tickets can be bought online via Eventbrite or in person at the Huron Historic Gaol during regular hours. If you purchase a discounted ticket, don’t forget to bring your student or member ID to show at the entrance.
