Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have now charged a resident from Central Huron with impaired driving after a traffic stop for speeding on September 13th, in Central Huron.
Around 8:00 p.m., police stopped a vehicle for speeding on Huron Road. After speaking with the driver, a roadside test was done, and the driver failed.
The driver was arrested for impaired driving and taken to the Huron OPP detachment in Clinton for further testing, which showed they were over the legal alcohol limit.
A 28 year old from Central Huron, has been charged with driving over the legal limit. He was also charged with speeding under the Highway Traffic Act. His vehicle was impounded for seven days, and his driver’s license was suspended for 90 days.
