  • Library Board Meeting @ 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. Regular meeting of Huron County’s Library Board. Meeting starts at 9:00 AM. Council Chambers, Huron County Court House, 1 Courthouse Square, Goderich, ON. Minutes from previous meetings, which have been adopted or amended at County Council, are available under the Council & Administration section of our website.   • Tai Chi – Wingham @ 10:30 am – 11:30 am. Join us at the Alice Munro Branch for a Tai Chi session, all skill levels welcome! This program is run by community volunteers and is a drop-in program, so no registration is necessary.
  • Tech Time – Seaforth @ 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm Book a 30-minute session at the Seaforth Branch  to get your technology questions answered. REGISTRATION: Please contact the Seaforth Branch by email seaforthlibrary@huroncounty.ca or by phone 519-527-1430 to register.
  • English Conversation Circle – Exeter @ 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm Join us at Exeter Branch for our English Conversation Circles. Conversation Circles are a great opportunity to practice English speaking skills and make new connections, while talking, listening, learning, and laughing about life in Canada. This program is provided in partnership with Huron County Immigration Partnership. This is a drop-in program – no registration is necessary.
  • Write On! Writer’s Club – Goderich @ 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm. Join fellow local authors and aspiring writers at the Goderich Branch to collaborate and create.   • Gothic Huron: David Yates – Goderich @ 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm. Join local author David Yates at the Goderich Branch as he delves into the fascinating and eerie history of Huron County with tales from his latest book, Gothic Huron: Heroes, Rogues, Murders, Daring, Bawdy Houses and Other Tales. This engaging session will transport you to a time of intrigue and adventure, revealing the darker side of the county’s past.   • Libraries Transforming Communities: Community Conversations @ 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm As part of the Libraries Transforming Communities project, the Huron County Library is hosting Community Conversations this fall to focus on the Blyth community! All are welcome to drop into the Blyth Branch to join the conversation! Participants will share aspirations for their communities with the goal of creating communities for all.

  • Crafters’ Circle – Exeter @ 10:00 am – 11:00 am. A social drop-in space at Exeter Branch to work on your crafting, knitting, mending, and other maker projects. This is a drop-in program no registration is necessary.
  • EarlyON – Seaforth @ 10:00 am – 11:30 am Join us indoors at Northside United Church – 54 Goderich St. W, Seaforth Enter the parking lot off of Church Street. Watch for our EarlyON sign closest to the door that you’ll enter.  If the door is locked, ring the doorbell to the upper right of the door. For Parents/Caregivers with children 0-6 years. Register to join us to connect with other families and EarlyON Facilitators, engage in play-based activities, sing interactive songs and chat about topics of interest to parents.   • Knitting Group – Bayfield Branch @ 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm Knit, relax and meet fellow knitters each week at the Bayfield Branch. All are welcome to drop into this free program to knit together and share tips and tricks. Please note this program is community-led.
  • Tech Time – Bayfield @ 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm Book a 30-minute, in-person session at Bayfield Branch, to get help with how to use library e-resources, how to use your new device and/or how to use your email account. Please bring your device(s) and any information to help with your question (error messages/email information, etc.) REGISTRATION: Please contact the branch to arrange a session by emailing bayfieldlibrary@huroncounty.ca or calling 519-565-2886.
  • Homeschool Hub – Wingham @ 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm Calling all Homeschoolers! Come down to the Alice Munro Branch in Wingham. This program is designed to provide social interaction while enjoying fun activities and learning from community experts.   • The Well Youth Hub – Exeter @ 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm Join The Well Community Collective for weekly youth drop-in at the Exeter Library. These sessions aim to empower wellness and foster a sense of community by providing equitable, culturally sensitive spaces tailored to the needs or rural and marginalized youth.   • Let’s Learn with Community Teachers – Blyth @ 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm Join us at Blyth Branch once a month to gain knowledge and skills from one of our community teachers through various learning methods. “Green Screen Magic & Chat GPT” – Thursday October 10.
  • Dungeons and Dragons – Exeter @ 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm Embark on an epic journey with our Dungeons & Dragons program designed for youth ages 13 and up. This series kicks off with an introduction to D&D, covering game mechanics and character building. Following this, participants will dive into a thrilling five-session campaign running from November to March. Commitment to all six sessions is recommended. If you are ready for adventure, strategy, and creativity then register to secure your spot. Limited to 6 participants. Registration Required.
