A trial by jury for five former Canadian World Junior hockey players, charged with sexual assault, is set to begin on April 22th, 2025.
Originally scheduled for September 2025, the trial has been moved up and is expected to last approximately eight weeks. Dillon Dube, Carter Hart, Michael McLeod, Cal Foote, and Alex Formenton face charges related to an alleged sexual assault at a London hotel in 2018.
All five defendants have maintained their innocence and chose to face a jury trial, which they opted for in February.
