On Thursday, December 19, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., dads, male caregivers, and their children are invited to a special evening of fun and connection at the Museum. Hosted in partnership with Rural Response for Healthy Children, this unique event promises engaging activities, meaningful discussions, and an opportunity to bond.
Participants will explore the Museum and Historic Gaol through guided tours and hands-on artifact and exhibit activities. The evening will also include parent-child social time, healthy snacks, and games designed to foster interaction and learning.
This month’s theme, “Sharp-Dressed Dads,” takes a lighthearted look at men’s fashion through the ages with historical photographs. Attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite outfits, hats, or quirky accessories. Kids can also get creative by designing an outfit for their dads or choosing from styles like past hairstyles, facial hair, bow ties, and more.
The event also features discussions and resources on self-care, wellness, and hygiene, offering practical tips for parents. Registration is required by December 18th, so be sure to sign up and join this memorable evening with your children.
