Huron County OPP has charged a 55-year-old resident of Huron East with several criminal driving offences after a collision in Bluewater on December 14th.
Police were called to Lidderdale Street in Bayfield at around 3:30 p.m. following reports of a vehicle that had damaged a fence. The driver was suspected of being impaired. Officers arrived at the scene, spoke to the driver, and determined that they were impaired.
The driver was arrested and taken to the Huron OPP detachment in Clinton, where breath tests showed alcohol levels over the legal limit. As a result, a resident of Huron East was charged with impaired driving due to alcohol and drugs, impaired driving with readings over the legal limit, and dangerous driving.
